Emigdio (Emi) is a multitalented member of Luyano Band. He took his first steps in music when he was a teenager, and later studied classical guitar in the Ignacio Cervantes School in Havana, Cuba (1991-1994). In 1990 he started working in the Instituto Cubano de Radio y Televisión (ICRT). For 10 years he was a sound engineer, composer and sound technician in the Institute. In 1992 Emigdio receives a prize for original music in the Caracol Festival of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), along with other prizes in radio festivals for his work as a sound engineer.
He has been a member of Cuban bands, such as: S.A., Elévense, and Moneda Dura, with which he made tours in Latin America and recorded albums. Having emigrated to the U.S., Emigdio studied video production and edition in Miami Dade College. Today he is a valuable member of Luyano Band.
